SUMMARY:

This article provides a short tutorial on enabling Google's 2-Step Verification. The Shorecrest Technology Department has implemented 2-Step Verification for all Faculty and Staff Google Accounts.

Google 2-Step Verification provides an extra layer of security for your Google Account and corresponding data.  With 2-Step Verification, you'll protect your account with something you know (your password) and something you have (your phone or Security Key).

INTENDED AUDIENCE: 

All Shorecrest Faculty and Staff

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Shorecrest Google Account Credentials
  • Shorecrest Computer (MacBook or iMac) w/Internet Connectivity
  • Internet Browser (Chrome Recommended)
  • Your Mobile Phone

  

ENABLE 2-STEP VERIFICATION FOR YOUR ACCOUNT:

NOTE: Before proceeding ensure all browser windows are closed

1.)  Open your Internet browser (Chrome recommended) on your computer and go to https://google.com

  

2.) Follow the steps shown below:
